In recent years, what people think about plastics has changed very much and is forcing the industry as a whole to change. Nixx has launched many new initiatives in step with this trend such as reducing weight through shape modifications, using plant-derived materials, and developing products in combination with dissimilar materials like paper. We can steer ourselves in new directions precisely because we handle so many consumable goods like food packaging.
And, we will continue in this direction of "using plastics the proper way".
We receive increasingly more requests from customers for environment-friendly products and we can respond to those requests with biodegradable plastics and alternative materials such as biomass, paper and lime.
Development example
We developed a hybrid packaging material made of paper and plastic, which a food producer adopted as a replacement for the plastic film it had used prior.
This packaging can greatly reduce the amount of plastic that businesses use, so our customers also see it as one way to address environmental problems.
Health technologies
Since so many people touch clear files and other plastic products, we propose products with antiviral properties as a defense against contagion. These products of ours are widely adopted by customers.
We can propose antiviral materials or antiviral processing for printing processes.
